My Channel has barely been seen many uploads this year, and that slightly annoys me. This is my fault and partially because I had no idea what to post, to be honest.

After like several years I realised what I like making, and that was mainly haul videos and some tech videos. I know from experience haul videos bring in better views than other videos. This is apparent on many beauty vloggers channels. I want to make some more since I do the occasional shop online and in store. Plus I am always discovering new products for beauty too. I know also the style of editing I want to put in for these videos, I have a haul which I am going to edit this week and so excited to get it edited, reckon it will do quite well.

For me making Tsum Tsum related content makes me so happy, it feels like authentic and not forced which is key for me. So that is going to stick to my channel, you will be seeing a bit of that content. I play this game on a daily basis and lots happen in the app.

As for the covers, if I am honest I haven't bothered to learn new songs in some time now, I really liked recording my last cover. I begin to feel like my covers seem like karaoke rather than unique. I currently have a Scissor Sisters cover recorded but I don't have any video clips filmed for it. I kinda wanted to do something with it but don't feel like making the video for it. I don't really feel the need for a separate channel anymore for my covers. I am just going to stick with the one channel I do have. Overall I don't feel the need to make cover videos, I lost total interest in setting up for one and filming it. I might upload but then I might not, maybe don't sub for the covers if you are new.

This part year I felt lost with my content and didn't know what I really wanted to make. Right now I like my Tsum Tsum content, making Haul videos and overall more fashion related content. I have started spending more time putting outfits together and might make fashion and beauty related content.

I really enjoyed my beauty related content a while ago, it took time but I was proud of the direction of that content. I have a few items that could make it in a video for sure, it could be what brings me better views and overall channel happiness.

I thought I might update the few who read my blog posts and just keep you in the loop.

So if you follow me on Twitter, you will know I share one article a week which I think is share-worthy and called it #GoodReadMonday. I wanted to collect all the links to the articles into this post and let you know how I feel about them as well. This will become a monthly occurrence on my blog, so check back in at the end of the month to find out which ones I shared and why.

New Research Shows Consumers Prefer Help Over Witty Comebacks https://t.co/fBsFKUI4P0 via @socialmedia2day #GoodReadMonday

So this one was a really interesting article about customer service, one which I think will definitely help me be a better social media manager. This article helped me realise that being witty and using slang words or trying to be your users best friend isn't what consumers want. Just be honest and open and kind then you will reap the benefits.

I love reading these Social Media Roundups and I have another one to read today actually so might be sharing that. I find it is the easiest way to catch up on any new changes social media channels have made in the past month.  I recommend these posts by Hootsuite if you don't get the time to catch up weekly on changes.

Even the best of us struggle with copy for ads, so these tips are really helpful and when I do my next ad for our brand I will take these thoughts into consideration. They recommended keeping ad copy short and let the work speak for itself. A good point was as well is that you should be basing your campaign of what you ultimately want to achieve from this advert.

So E3 was not so long ago, some interesting stats about the event were published. I thought it was really interesting to see what a huge impact E3 has on social media. A lot more people apparently were talking about the event in the run-up and after the event.

Well there you have it my very rough roundup of the #GoodReadMonday posts, took me a while to blooming get round to writing this, but I did it. Hope it helped in some way.

So it's been a while but I wanted to check back in with everyone again.

I am enjoying the idea of vlogging my outings either with my boyfriend or my travels to Scotland to see him. We tend to have a lot of fun on our trips away in the UK, I have gone more places in the UK with him than with anyone else and it's a really nice feeling.

I want to aim to vlog more of those outings, as not only is it nice for me to vlog it but to remember those outings as well. So expect a crap tonne more vlogs heading your way very soon.

I also come across some really good royalty free music as well for my vlogs, it's a lot better than the stuff I have come across on YouTube Audio Library.

Got a lot of app related videos planned for my channel to which I have talked about a lot on my last ketchup vlog. So I am excited to spend time with those videos and make them look good.

So thanks for checking back in and hopefully write again very soon.

So I don't really know why I have slid away from making so many videos.

Maybe I don't feel a massive urge anymore.

I also had massive plans to make new content on my channel and that takes time and of which I don't have during the week because of my job.

I do enjoy creating vlogging videos, more out and about and what I am doing, I rarely head out to do something new because I'm either at my niece's house looking after her and seeing her as much as I can. Then I go see my boyfriend in Scotland, which I guess I should really vlog and show off the cool stuff I do whilst in Scotland.

I want to do a ketchup video this week addressing some videos I feel more comfortable planning and what exactly I am aiming to do with my channel. Sometimes a new direction is better. I need to figure out my content before I go and make the video.

It's been some time since I wrote anything on here and I kinda like that gap and writing when it suits me best. So this ties in so nicely with what I want to talk about Vlogmas. I decided to give it a go this year, and 3 days in I don't really like it. It feels like a chore and I don't want to force myself to make videos. In the back of my mind this weekend, all I could think of was how the hell do I work my full-time job and do vlogmas. I simply can't I am not a super human. So I will upload sporadically over the vlogmas period.

I like making videos but I make them when I like it and I need to think about that whilst attempting Vlogmas. My full-time job requires my attention 9-5 so I can't spend my time ignoring important deadlines and such. So do bear with me and I mean there are plenty of other Vlogmas series going out on YouTube everyday, so you won't miss out on much.

Well that concludes this short blog post on Vlogmas, kinda wanted to keep everyone updated on what happens. And see you guys very soon.

Hey,

So it has been a few months since my last post and kind of caring on from the theme of the last post I want to talk about note taking. So as you might know every Monday I do some reading for work, on all things social and app related. I, of course, take notes on key facts or thoughts I have from reading the article. I wanted to share some Note Taking Tips with you.

I suggest getting a ruled notebook firstly if you are going to make notes, I tried using a blank page and my notes got messy and really hard to read. Since my notes are all about social media, each channel has a different colour, so for ease of use and when I want to reflect on some notes it is easier for me to find them. So light blue is for Twitter, dark blue is or Facebook, Brown is for Instagram (yes I know it's a purple logo now) and black for general info. Also to help me find facts and figures, I go over them in purple which I find does actually help some more when flicking through pages of notes. I like this system and it has worked for me best so far. Maybe come up with your own key system that helps you find notes easily. You might not be making notes about social media, so why not assign your own colours to certain topics.

I take notes in pen, not sure if that helps, although to me notes can be messy and a little scribbly. I know that when you want to make notes your brain is processing a lot, so a bit of mess isn't bad. I like filling up the back of my notebook up with notes, it's good to assign dividers to your notebook. I write down other things in my notebook, although lately, I feel having one notebook just for social notes might be better. I write about 2 pages worth every Monday, so I run out of space quite fast.

At the end of the day, it's your notebook so organise how you wish. I just wanted to offer some advice on note taking.

Hey,

On Mondays since January or so, I have been setting aside time to read up on Social Media and App News. I find it is paramount to stay on top of my game. So I decided to do something with the best articles I read that day and I thought that it was best to share them on my Twitter. That's when I started doing something with my Twitter account around April this year called #GoodReadMonday and I share with everyone my pick of the best articles read that day. I never really have anything consistent on my Twitter apart from updating people on my life and YouTube videos.

I checked out the hashtag beforehand to make sure that it wasn't being used heavily by a brand and only a few people have used it. So I was lucky to jump onto a hashtag no one really was using, to me that's key and even for brands. I then made sure from that day in April I would stick to it and you know what I have done. I have already shared a bunch of interesting and insightful reads.

I guess I wanted to explain why I went about doing this on my Twitter. If I ever change careers and stick with social media, I want to at least say I am doing something in my own time on my Twitter. A way to make them think Social is always on my mind and that I try and go above and beyond for my future. I like having it and really keeps me going on reading because I lose concentration quickly when I try to read. This way I always know that I have to keep at it for my own sake and maybe for some that check out the article from my Twitter. I hope that in a couple months time I still keep up with it and that it might lead to new opportunities.

If you are a Social Media Manager and want to follow my selected reads then click on my Twitter above or just search #GoodReadMondays on Twitter.

See you soon.
