ADPAD
If you either are an
advertising creative, graphic designer, illustrator or architect then at one
point you will have used a sketchpad. We have all done that thing of drawing an
idea on a piece of paper but spent around 2 minutes or longer drawing a black
box, most of the time you messed it up. The birth of the ADPAD happened on the
6.9.12, since then it has had huge success. No layout pads do anything like this
at the moment, so it is a totally unique idea. It currently is being used by a
whole host of advertising agencies such as Beattie McGuiness Bungay, The Leith,
AMV BBDO and many more.
I studied Advertising
for three years at The University of Gloucestershire, I used layout pads all
the time, and I noticed how annoying sometimes it was drawing a black box
around a page. I usually messed it up and it went wrong some how. I was told
about the ADPAD in the second year at University, but I thought nothing of it
at the time, that's when I remembered them last year whilst on placement. I was
working on new ideas and finally bought two of the ADPADs. I went through the
pack just recently on placement, so I bought another two of them since they are
lifesavers. Luckily the idea of them caught the Creative Directors eye, and I
told him about the ADPAD, I did my good deed of telling the company someone was
interested in the idea. So hopefully the agency start to use the ADPADs.
I highly recommend getting
them if you are either an advertising creative or an illustrator. You can get
them in A4 or A3, £7.50 for the A3 and £5.00 for the A4 one. I love the
presentation of every order, you get a unique card with your name on,
and small things like that really make all the difference. They also threw in
this special gift for me, which was lovely of them. Let me know if you buy them
via my Twitter, would be great to see some new customers that might come from
reading this blog post. Find them on Twitter, Facebook and their website.
Love Akika
