So I took a trip to Camden on Bank Holiday Monday, I have not been since last year. I always love going there; they have awesome shops and some great places to eat for cheap. I thought I would write a blog post about what I bought there and just some general tips when going shopping in Camden.

I had some sort of an idea of what I wanted to find in Camden. I was looking for something quirky and something vintage. Camden has a couple of awesome Vintage shops, which are worth going to. When I get to Camden I walk along the road where the large main market stalls are. I tend to start looking for things when I get over the canal bridge and then you arrive at the food stalls. Walk past those to get to the other market stalls, I tend to wonder a lot and then see if there is anything I really want. When I go to Camden, I need to look around and then tend to go back to the shop I was looking at in the first place because I think shopping around does help.

My first item I bought that day was this blue and white-stripped shirt; I am always on the look out for smart things to wear. It works well for casual or a work outfit. I found this in the market stalls near the food market. This shirt would look awesome with leggings or trousers; I would wear a white tank top underneath, as it is very see through. I cannot remember exactly how much it was but it was in the bracket of £15 - £25 and was worth the price.

My second and third item I bought that day are both from my favourite vintage shop in Camden, they are on the left side of the road, right by the horses stable. There is another food market on that side and they are right by that. I bought this red and green oversized flannel shirt there and this chequered shirt from them. I love flannel shirts, this shirt would be awesome with a tank top and some skinny jeans or shorts and tights with some trainers or boots. I think this shirt is for a male but I do not have an oversized flannel shirt and I am always on the look out for one. It was around £20-£25 so rather reasonably priced I reckon. The next item I got was the chequered shirt, I loved the odd shape of it and I just thought it could be rather cool with a chunky cardigan and some skinny jeans or leggings. This shirt was only £5 so I thought it was perfect. I love peculiar tops and this just really stood out for me.

My last item of the day was the 3D sign, I am on the look out for things to put in my room and this was something I was looking for. These signs are not really vintage but, I like the look of them and they are so cute. You can get all different kinds of sizes from post card size to larger than A3. I bought this in the right hand size of Camden Market. I walked into it when I first got there but was not sure if it was something I wanted to get. The shop has a lot more variety of designs to choose from so take your time and look around. I got it for £24.99, I think it was a fair price to pay but I think it was worth it. I am yet to put it up but I might put it up behind my bed.

When shopping in Camden I would take your time there, I went in the late afternoon on the bank holiday Monday and arrived around 14:00 and started shopping straight away and was there until 16:45. Every stall is in walking distance and there are so many that it is always good to allow plenty of time to shop. The markets are very busy on the weekend and very busy on bank holiday weekends. Shopping in Camden is very cheap and sometimes you can haggle, I am always afraid to haggle but if you are not fearless then go for it. I know a lot of people prefer to pay with card, some shops do this but I would carry cash with you as well, it is easier to pay for food and paying for clothes in some market stalls with cash. Free Cash Machines are available in the market but there are only two and they tend to have a long queue, so I suggest going to Barclays, which is opposite Camden Town tube station. Eating in Camden is super cheap and it is always really tasty, you can choose from Italian to Chinese food. Sitting down to eat can be a bit of a pain, but beware that around 13:00 everyone gets food, so be patient with finding a place to sit. I recommend having a cup of lemonade, most stalls offer it at £1.50 for a small cup and you get to fill it up yourself so top it up to the top and get your moneys worth. It is delicious and great to have when you are tired of walking around the market. I have been to Camden when it has been sunny and it is raining, so I suggest going prepared to be honest. Unfortunately it started raining there but I was prepared and it makes it less of a hassle. There is a mixture of shops in Camden; you get the tourist shops, market stalls and vintage shops. A lot of the vintage shops are sort of scattered; the main ones are outside the horse’s stables. The market stalls are everywhere and a lot of the markets sell the same clothes. This mainly applies to those who sell the white basic tank tops with designs on. Tourist shops are everywhere to, they tend to sell things that tourists look for, souvenirs and such. Everyone in Camden is very friendly and you can take your time in shops, I never feel rushed to get out of the shop. So if you like taking your time to find a bargain then you are in luck. When you shop you may end up getting a few things so sometimes brining a big bag with you might be a good idea.

I hope that helps anyone who is thinking of going to Camden for the first time. I enjoyed writing this blog post and will write another one that will come out next week for everyone. Thanks for reading this blog post and let me know on my Twitter if you went and what were your thoughts.

So I can safely say that I am someone who spends a lot of my time on social media sites. I use sites such as Twitter, Instagram also Tumblr all the time. I have come across a lot of sites that accompany the original site. They let you add more Twitter accounts and you can view a lot more things in a slightly better way. I am currently doing freelance and have come across some really good accompanying sites that have come in very handy lately. So I wanted to write a blog post explaining what social media sites I use and why I use them and then tell you which accompanying sites that I use.

Twitter is a site, which I spend a lot of time on, nearly all day to be honest. I use it for personal use and also for my freelance work. Twitter is just simply an amazing social media site, I tweet literally anything on there. One thing, which it is great for, is telling my followers when I upload a video to my YouTube channel. I use it a lot to find out if advertising agencies are starting any placements or internships. I use it for my freelance work; it is great for connecting with your existing customers. I have three accounts, one personal, one for my joint creative partnership and one for my freelance work. I hate having to log in and out of Twitter to view my other accounts so I came across this site, which lets you view more than one account. It is called TweetDeck, I have used it since on and off since 2010. It is now a website it used to be an application that you had to download. I love using this site as you can personalize the layout of it. So if you only want to see your feed and your profile then that is possible. I think if you are someone who is part of a fandom and have several accounts then it is great for you.

I use Tumblr so much when I am not working (sometimes when I am working). This site is just amazing and I think everyone my age and younger loves this site to bits. I only use this site for personal site; it is a lovely blogging site but great for finding the most random of things. I personalize my Tumblr feed, so I do not have the normal blue; instead I have a purple galaxy dashboard. I use a site called, Stylish which is a Google Chrome extension. You can choose from things like different coloured Tumblr feed patterns to Tumblr dashboard icons. So if you get fed up of the blue then you can change it and they have such a huge selection to choose from. I recently changed it and it is really easy to change your dashboard choice so I really recommend it if you want to get creative with Tumblr.

I post pictures on Instagram most of the time, I check my feed a lot and see other peoples pictures. I follow a couple of my friends and mostly celebs. I have been using it for my freelance work as well. A sight, which is fantastic for keeping track of how many followers, you gained or who checking a hash tag on a grander scale is Iconosquare it used to be called Statigram. It is the site that everyone did for his or her year on Instagram of 2013 video. You only have to sign up to it via your Instagram account. The site is really useful more if you want to use it on behalf of a company. I like the fact you can see your likes, as that is not easy to see on the Instagram app. I like the fact the site is easy to navigate and everything you need is there, I use this site every day and it has given me no issues at all. I also use an app called PhotoCollage, you can basically add more than image to an Instagram post and you can edit it to how you want from their different style of designs. I use it for personal and for my freelance work as well.

When it comes to accompanying sites these are the only sites that I use, I do spend more time on YouTube and sometimes Facebook as well. Follow me on all the following sites (I will hyperlink them all): Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook. I hope you learned a little something from this blog post let me know if you do end up using any of these sites. I look forward to writing another blog post soon.

So hello again everyone, I am being a lot more efficient with my blog writing now. This time it is a blog post about the equipment I use in my videos, I thought it would be nice to show everyone what I use just if you happen to read this and want to know what is rather good if you want to start a YouTube channel.  So I will tell you what each item does, the good features of it, where I got it and how much I paid for it.

First on the list of items is my vlogging camera, I have had this for around 3 years now and is a Panasonic Lumix DMC – FH7. I used to film my Sunday videos on my channel with it and I was happy with it at the time. I think this camera is much more suited for being a vlogging camera more than anything. The good features with this camera are that it shoots in HD and you get rather clear quality videos with it. You can change the type of filter you want to use on the video; it can give you choices such as cool or sepia. So I would play around a lot with the settings until you are happy. I do think this camera is perfect for vlogging, I think it shoots a lot better than an iPhone and has slightly better audio as well. I bought this camera in Japan and got it for around £100 and I did a bit of research online and they do not sell this exact camera anymore, but the Panasonic Lumix range is still available. I do recommend getting this camera if you want to start out on YouTube with something not so expensive and something, which is rather straight forward.

The camera that I use for all my Sunday videos on my channel is my Canon iVIS HF R42. It shoots HD quality videos and is specifically designed as a video camera. The audio quality on this is fantastic as well and really crisp. As I film my videos I love being able to flip the video finder around so you can check if you are in frame and in focus. It follows your face around which is rather nifty. Also has a 32x zoom and it zooms into perfect quality so you never loose the clarity. This video has got Wi-Fi built in, so you can control the camera from a distance with your smart phone, which is rather a genius feature. I love this camera to bits it is so light and I have used it for other uses and even then it was fantastic. It is great for shooting nearly anything to be honest with you. I bought this model in Japan and is only available in Japan so but I found the identical model which is called Legria HF R56 this one is available in the UK.  I paid around £300 for this camera, yes it comes at a price but it is perfect for high quality videos. I recommend getting this camera, if maybe you wish to make more frequent YouTube videos or even just a video camera for your family events in your life.

The microphone I use in my Sunday videos is the Blue Microphone Snowball iCE. The Blue Microphone Snowball iCE is so simple to use, all you do is connect it to your laptop via the USB cable. You do not need to download any specific programme; I use a Mac and use GarageBand to record the audio. Whenever you record with this microphone you get a top quality audio recording. You can use the microphone for recording a voice over or even if you want to sing a cover or a record your own music. Blue Microphone is a very popular and I see a lot of YouTubers one YouTuber in particular that uses it is PewDiePie he has the Blue Spark microphone. The Snowball iCE is only £49.99 so basically £50.00 on Amazon, this is where I bought mine when I did my research. This site was the cheapest place to buy it, the one that PewDiePie has is £159.00 on Amazon. The one I bought is a much better price and you still get the perfect clarity with this microphone. I think if you are starting out on YouTube and just want to find a reasonable priced microphone then this is for you. The brand also has lots of different types of microphones so take a look at their range and see which one is best for you.

The tripod that I use for my Sunday videos is the Calumet 7100 Tripod with Three-way Quick Release Head. This tripod is fantastic; I use this for all my videos and is so sturdy and reliable. I have used this on a shoot before and you can change the position of the tripod into lots of different ways. It has a three-position leg-angle adjustment, which means you can extend the legs out quite far and if you want a shot on the floor it is possible, and if you want to a shot human height then it is possible. The tripod is so light it is perfect if you need to take this tripod on location with you. My family have used this for shooting outdoors and was able to balance a zoom lenses and a regular Canon 60D so it is perfect for light or heavy cameras. I got given this as a gift but it is from a professional photography shop called Calumet and was £49.00, which for a tripod is rather reasonably priced. If you want to start out with a basic tripod then this is for you, I thoroughly recommend getting this tripod.

I talked about this programme in my last blog post but I use Final Cut Pro X to edit all my videos. It is probably the best editing software I have come across; when I first got my Mac I used iMovie a lot to edit. When I found out about Final Cut Pro X it was basically identical to iMovie appearance wise. I easily found myself liking it a lot more and I got it because it is a lot higher spec then iMovie. You can do a lot more with Final Cut Pro, editing is a lot more better and you can add more effects, and edit your video a lot better. It does so many things so I am only talking about the points that I use a lot. The editing section on Final Cut Pro X is a lot better, you can add photos or video clips from anywhere on your Mac, iMovie does not easily give you this facility. If you edited a picture on Photoshop it will come up as it was edited, you will not get a horrible black box behind it. You can get it free on most torrent sites but I paid £199.99 and bought it from the App Store on my Mac. I reckon if you are looking for an editing software when you are more serious about making and editing videos then this programme is perfect for that. A lot of people use this software to edit their videos.

So this is all the equipment that I use and I recommend doing your research on prices as you may now get it a lot cheaper elsewhere. I am currently on the look out for some professional lighting and looking into getting a soft box light, for my videos. I know a lot of YouTubers use them and it is the next thing I should invest in. I am aware that you can get them from Calumet, but if any of you could recommend some soft box lights then that would make me very happy. If you have any questions about the products in this blog post then do let me know via my Twitter. I am happy to answer any questions about the products mentioned. So I hope you enjoyed reading about the equipment that I use, I accompanied detailed photos to go with my post so you can see the product in proper use. I will be posting another blog post next week so get ready for the month of a lot more efficient blog posts.
