So hello again everyone, I am being a lot more efficient with my blog writing now. This time it is a blog post about the equipment I use in my videos, I thought it would be nice to show everyone what I use just if you happen to read this and want to know what is rather good if you want to start a YouTube channel.  So I will tell you what each item does, the good features of it, where I got it and how much I paid for it.

First on the list of items is my vlogging camera, I have had this for around 3 years now and is a Panasonic Lumix DMC – FH7. I used to film my Sunday videos on my channel with it and I was happy with it at the time. I think this camera is much more suited for being a vlogging camera more than anything. The good features with this camera are that it shoots in HD and you get rather clear quality videos with it. You can change the type of filter you want to use on the video; it can give you choices such as cool or sepia. So I would play around a lot with the settings until you are happy. I do think this camera is perfect for vlogging, I think it shoots a lot better than an iPhone and has slightly better audio as well. I bought this camera in Japan and got it for around £100 and I did a bit of research online and they do not sell this exact camera anymore, but the Panasonic Lumix range is still available. I do recommend getting this camera if you want to start out on YouTube with something not so expensive and something, which is rather straight forward.

The camera that I use for all my Sunday videos on my channel is my Canon iVIS HF R42. It shoots HD quality videos and is specifically designed as a video camera. The audio quality on this is fantastic as well and really crisp. As I film my videos I love being able to flip the video finder around so you can check if you are in frame and in focus. It follows your face around which is rather nifty. Also has a 32x zoom and it zooms into perfect quality so you never loose the clarity. This video has got Wi-Fi built in, so you can control the camera from a distance with your smart phone, which is rather a genius feature. I love this camera to bits it is so light and I have used it for other uses and even then it was fantastic. It is great for shooting nearly anything to be honest with you. I bought this model in Japan and is only available in Japan so but I found the identical model which is called Legria HF R56 this one is available in the UK.  I paid around £300 for this camera, yes it comes at a price but it is perfect for high quality videos. I recommend getting this camera, if maybe you wish to make more frequent YouTube videos or even just a video camera for your family events in your life.

The microphone I use in my Sunday videos is the Blue Microphone Snowball iCE. The Blue Microphone Snowball iCE is so simple to use, all you do is connect it to your laptop via the USB cable. You do not need to download any specific programme; I use a Mac and use GarageBand to record the audio. Whenever you record with this microphone you get a top quality audio recording. You can use the microphone for recording a voice over or even if you want to sing a cover or a record your own music. Blue Microphone is a very popular and I see a lot of YouTubers one YouTuber in particular that uses it is PewDiePie he has the Blue Spark microphone. The Snowball iCE is only £49.99 so basically £50.00 on Amazon, this is where I bought mine when I did my research. This site was the cheapest place to buy it, the one that PewDiePie has is £159.00 on Amazon. The one I bought is a much better price and you still get the perfect clarity with this microphone. I think if you are starting out on YouTube and just want to find a reasonable priced microphone then this is for you. The brand also has lots of different types of microphones so take a look at their range and see which one is best for you.

The tripod that I use for my Sunday videos is the Calumet 7100 Tripod with Three-way Quick Release Head. This tripod is fantastic; I use this for all my videos and is so sturdy and reliable. I have used this on a shoot before and you can change the position of the tripod into lots of different ways. It has a three-position leg-angle adjustment, which means you can extend the legs out quite far and if you want a shot on the floor it is possible, and if you want to a shot human height then it is possible. The tripod is so light it is perfect if you need to take this tripod on location with you. My family have used this for shooting outdoors and was able to balance a zoom lenses and a regular Canon 60D so it is perfect for light or heavy cameras. I got given this as a gift but it is from a professional photography shop called Calumet and was £49.00, which for a tripod is rather reasonably priced. If you want to start out with a basic tripod then this is for you, I thoroughly recommend getting this tripod.

I talked about this programme in my last blog post but I use Final Cut Pro X to edit all my videos. It is probably the best editing software I have come across; when I first got my Mac I used iMovie a lot to edit. When I found out about Final Cut Pro X it was basically identical to iMovie appearance wise. I easily found myself liking it a lot more and I got it because it is a lot higher spec then iMovie. You can do a lot more with Final Cut Pro, editing is a lot more better and you can add more effects, and edit your video a lot better. It does so many things so I am only talking about the points that I use a lot. The editing section on Final Cut Pro X is a lot better, you can add photos or video clips from anywhere on your Mac, iMovie does not easily give you this facility. If you edited a picture on Photoshop it will come up as it was edited, you will not get a horrible black box behind it. You can get it free on most torrent sites but I paid £199.99 and bought it from the App Store on my Mac. I reckon if you are looking for an editing software when you are more serious about making and editing videos then this programme is perfect for that. A lot of people use this software to edit their videos.

So this is all the equipment that I use and I recommend doing your research on prices as you may now get it a lot cheaper elsewhere. I am currently on the look out for some professional lighting and looking into getting a soft box light, for my videos. I know a lot of YouTubers use them and it is the next thing I should invest in. I am aware that you can get them from Calumet, but if any of you could recommend some soft box lights then that would make me very happy. If you have any questions about the products in this blog post then do let me know via my Twitter. I am happy to answer any questions about the products mentioned. So I hope you enjoyed reading about the equipment that I use, I accompanied detailed photos to go with my post so you can see the product in proper use. I will be posting another blog post next week so get ready for the month of a lot more efficient blog posts.

I am not someone who does monthly favourite videos, so I thought why not write a blog post about it instead. Recently this month I have purchased several things that I am in love with right now and are going to be used a lot so here is my April Favourites blog post.

Firstly I purchased two items of clothing from Romwe.com and I am very excited to receive them in the post. Romwe is heavily talked about on YouTube and a lot of fashion/make up gurus are sent free clothing items and get to promote what they like most. I recently got intrigued into what sort of other clothing they sell and whether it was reasonably priced. So you can see the two items below in the picture are the items I purchased. The cute Color Block Panel Pocketed Grey Jumper was £16.13 originally at £19.86 so in my eyes it is a reasonable price for a jumper. I love the odd patterns on the jumper and it looks like different fabric on it as well. Although we are going into summer, this will be useful when ever it does get cold in the UK. The other clothing is the black and white dress, which I saw on Emma Pickles Clothing Haul. The Retro Lapel Neck Black Dress was £23.58 I just checked the latest price and it is now £24.82 only a small price increase but check the site if it does change as it could do. I love dresses with collars and this is super cute with shorter sleeves. I am always looking for new dresses to wear at work and out with friends so this dress is perfect for that. Overall I was rather happy with Romwe and it has a few quirky things on the site, so if you are a fan of peculiar clothing then it is the site for you.

Something, which I was considering for a short while, was purchasing Final Cut Pro X. I found a free full version, which worked perfectly well and was no problem for me. As you all know from my previous blog posts I make YouTube videos. I thought I should actually buy it rather than have the illegal copy. It looks ever so slightly different, but I thought it was safer and made more sense to get the official version. It does come at a price, but it is a programme that I use every week and I do need it to work properly. You can get it from the App Store for £199.99 yes it is quite a lot of money but, I only advice you to pay for it if you will be a frequent user of the programme. I have noticed minor differences with the illegal copy and the official one. The exporting bar goes to 100% with the official copy, with the illegal copy it goes to 50% and it is finished exporting. Sometimes when you ask it add a large file to a folder it takes a lot longer with the illegal copy. I do not use many of the technical options so maybe there are other faults that I have not come across. Overall it is up to you what copy you wish to get but I hope this short review some how helps you with a future download.

Summer is well and truly on its way and I am very happy about that, just like everyone else. I watch a lot of YouTubers who own Penny Boards and they look like a lot of fun. I am not someone who knows how to skate and I am currently learning to do so. Whilst doing some research into getting a Penny Board, I noticed how expensive they are, you can expect to pay £74.50 to £100.00 for one on Amazon.  So like any purchase I make on something, I always do my market research and check if there are cheaper alternatives and I found a company that make identical copies, the company is called SFT and if you search “SFT Skateboards” into Amazon you are bound to find a few. My one cost me £21.99 and it is a total saving of £52.51 so you are saving a lot of money there. When you receive them you do have to fix on the wheels your self-but; they give you instructions and the tools to put it together. Do bare in mind when I bought these there was a shipping fee, but only for £16.85 and in the total amount I paid £38.84. Overall I need to learn how to ride one but the colour is lovely and really striking and it is really sturdy and trust worthy. So it is definitely worth getting if like me you wish not to spend an awful lot for one.

I finally managed to get the tye-dye trainers that I found on Schuh and so happy with them. They cost me £50.00 but they last a long time and I really want to grow my collection of Converse shoes. They will look amazing with my dungarees and other outfits for the summer. I am still on the look out for some other summer shoes that are different to the type of shoes that I currently have. I do recommend getting Converse shoes as they last a long time and you will not be sorry about the price you pay for them.

So that is my April Favourites blog post, I will try and do a June Favourite blog post for you all. Thank you for reading my post and see you on another blog post.

So I have reached the point of the year that I am really looking forward to the summer. I am sure that my 2014 summer could be awesome. So here are just a couple of things that I am really looking forward to this summer.

I am not much of a fashion guru but in summer I do love to change my wardrobe, I love wearing dresses around this time of year. Personally it is very exciting for me to try different styles and go shopping for outfits. I love my dungarees and when I bought mine, I managed to get them just when summer had ended so I was wearing them loads this winter with a pair of tights. Like in the image below this is how I would wear them, I have those really cute ankle socks with frilly bits on so I will be teaming those up with my outfit. One thing I will be looking out for are shoes for the summer, as I tend to wear the same old pumps and gladiator sandals. So I will be looking at ASOS and other online and high street retailers for the latest trends. I really would love to get the tye-dye trainers as shown below from Converse I will definitely make the most of wearing those. I am one of those people who views YouTube videos and if someone recommends something, I will go and look into buying the item. So I look forward to what some of my fav YouTube fashion gurus will be choosing for their summer must haves.

This year for the first ever time I will be attending Summer In The City in August. I will be going on Saturday only. I have been aware of the event for years now, but never had the guts to buy a ticket to it. So I look forward to making new friends and meeting my YouTube idols. I briefly mentioned this in my last blog post. I have been discovering new YouTubers this year and my subscribers are on the up so that makes me very happy. I think I am mostly looking forward to attending an event on such a huge scale, I am aware that waiting takes time but it is all about meeting new people and finding new YouTube buddies. So like I say come and see me when I am there as I am very much sure that I will be doing a vlog about my day =].

Now one thing summer was made for is drinking and eating, so I will be making sure that I attend loads of BBQS this summer. My sister recently moved and I am very excited to go and have a BBQ at hers, I have to enquire closer to the time if I can come round for one. At home we do not have a BBQ but we get the throw away ones and they turned out really well last year. I had around 5 of them with my parents. I hope to get my friends around for a couple of BBQS, I think it is a must do for summer. I will sure be sipping on some Sangria and Pimms and Lemonade.

I really want to go away maybe for a short weekend holiday or just see my friends for a lovely day out in the summer sun. I went to Greenwich Park last year and I had a great afternoon of sitting and chatting in the sun, I hope to do that again this year, or go to a beer garden and enjoy a cheeky drink. You may know if you follow me on Twitter that I passed my driving test this year, so I am legally allowed to drive on the road now. I share my dads car and I must say it is nerve racking going driving alone as I always had someone next me helping me out.  I am getting used to the car and going out for short trips to the shops and dropping family off to places. I want to this year go on a road trip to see a friend. That is my driving goal this year, I really want to drive a lot more often so I can be confident to drive without worrying. I am sure that I will be able to do it this year.

So that brings me to the end of another rather fun blog post, I will be posting more blog posts this year on all sorts of different topics. So follow me on Twitter for updates of when I do.

Thank you for reading this post and hope to post soon.
